Hoofdpersoon in Mall Girls is de verlegen veertienjarige Alicja, die zich een plaats moet verwerven in de harde populariteitscompetitie van haar leeftijdgenoten. Een ontroerend portret van een onzekere en zoekende puber. De locatie is een winkelcentrum, de vormgeving is ultrahip en buitengewoon trendy.

Deze film werd vertoond op onder andere het filmfestival van Toronto. Piers Handling van het filmfestival van Toronto:
