Afrolijk: Afripedia
Op dinsdag 25 juni host Afrolijk de Rotterdamse première van Afripedia (Ghana, Senegal, Angola), een ultracoole documentaireserie over de nieuwe generatie Afrikaanse creatieve talenten die alle vooroordelen en stereotypen over Afrika van zich afwerpen.
De docuserie Afripedia is geproduceerd door het Zweedse Afro-collectief Stocktown. Elke aflevering van Afripedia (in totaal zijn er vijf) richt zich op een groep jonge kunstenaars en creatives in een ander Afrikaans land. Deze avond vertonen wij drie afleveringen, die over Ghana, Senegal en Angola (84 min in totaal), drie hotspots van Afrikaanse culturele productie. Maak kennis met de uitgesproken muzikanten en straatartiesten (inclusief BMX stunters) in Ghana, de baanbrekende ontwerpers, fotografen en dansers in Senegal en de ontketende kudoro revolutie in Angola!

Afrolijk is dé nieuwe uitgaansavond voor de Afrikaanse gemeenschap en Afro-minded community in Nederland. Elke editie staat film, muziek, food en art uit Afrika en de Afro-wereld centraal. Afro staat hier uiteraard voor Afrika, maar ook voor diversity, creativity en community, en dat allemaal urban en funky, en zowel up-beat als laid-back. Welcome to Afro joy, passion and creativity, welcome to Afrolijk!
