Peak Everything - Expat Cinema Rotterdam

Anne Émond

Miss seeing international films because you can’t yet keep up with the Dutch subtitles? Want to meet fellow expats and new Dutch folks? Love cinema? Then this is the event for you! Join Expat Cinema Rotterdam for the best international art house cinema with English subtitles.

In a remote corner of an ever-warming Canada, Adam — a kind, highly sensitive man in his forties and the owner of a dog kennel — is plagued by climate anxiety. His father dismisses it as nonsense, his psychologist considers him a lost cause, and to make matters worse, his therapy lamp breaks down. But when he calls the lamp’s helpline and hears the gentle voice of Tina on the other end, his life begins to change.

As earthquakes and environmental disasters grow more frequent, the temperature between Adam and Tina rises even faster than that of the Earth. Together, they set out on a journey while the world as they know it gradually falls apart.

With dry humor, warmth, and romance, Peak Everything approaches a heavy yet urgent theme with lightness and charm.
