Mina is shook when she learns that her husband Babak was innocent of the crime for which he has been executed. The judge explains it to her plain and simple: it has probably been Allah’s will, else it wouldn’t have happened.
The Iranian authorities apologize to Mina and offer her a financial compensation. But that’s not enough for Mina. She starts her own silent protest against the system. Then Reza visits her house: he claims to be an old friend of Babak and tells Mina he owns Babak a lot of money, which he wants to repay. Mina is hesitant at first, but slowly lets Reza enter her life.
