Antoine and his wife Olga run an organic farm in a village in Galicia, the northwestern region of Spain. Although the French couple tries their best to integrate into the community, the locals continue to see them as intruders. Their opposition to a wind farm strains relations, especially with brothers Xan and Lorenzo, who are only too eager to scare the couple away with their bullying. However, Antoine and Olga hold their ground, after which the situation threatens to get completely out of hand. Las Bestias is a thrilling Spanish thriller from Oscar-nominated director Rodrigo Sorogoyen, which portrays the classic contradictions between newcomers and locals, progressiveness and conservatism in an original way.
