Bedoeld voor het volk waren ze, deze vijf megalomane paleizen in Sofia, Moskou, Boekarest, Berlijn en Belgrado. Intended for the people they were, these five megalomaniac palaces in Sofia, Moscow, Bucharest, Berlin and Belgrade. But in the end they were built to bolster the power of totalitarian regimes in the communist countries of the East Bloc. Guilty Architecture at its best! They were to be showpieces for people to marvel at in admiration. Big, bigger, biggest, with the latest technical novelties and the most expensive marble. Kitschy palaces of absurdity to some; architectural wonders to others. The architects, directors and users look back with mixed feelings in Palace for the People.

Persoonlijke kortingspassen moeten getoond kunnen worden bij de filmzaal.
