Tussen de noodzaak van stipt op tijd vertrekkende vluchten en dieren die hun gangetje gaan bevindt zich een klein team van wildcontroleurs die erop toezien dat deze twee werelden nooit samenkomen. Gedurende vier seizoenen op Riga International Airport toont Scarecrows een onzichtbare laag van arbeid, planning en hulpmiddelen waar de meeste reizigers geen benul van hebben, maar die essentieel is om vliegreizen mogelijk te maken. Deels stadsfabel, deels reflectie op het milieu combineert Coyote Urbanism animatie met herkenbare stadslandschappen, waaruit een beeld naar voren komt van Los Angeles als een stad waar ecologische en sociale crisissen hand in hand gaan.
Victim to Los Angeles’ endless expansion, a coyote displaced from its habitat, wanders through a city that seems to have no room for it. The solitary creature walks along massive infrastructures and neighbourhoods in constant transformation. Part urban fable, part environmental reflection, Coyote Urbanism, blends animation with recognisable urban landscapes, painting a picture of Los Angeles as a city where ecological and social crises happen simultaneously.
