The Knight and the Princess
De allereerste animatiefilm uit Egypte, die 20 jaar duurde om te maken, is gebaseerd op het verhaal van een Arabische strijder uit de zevende eeuw: Mohammed Bin Alkassim. Als 15-jarige geloofde hij dat alles mogelijk was en nam zich voor om vrouwen en kinderen te redden die door piraten in de Indische zee waren ontvoerd. Toen hij 17 werd, was hij klaar om de tirannieke koning Daher aan te pakken. Hij verliet zijn geboortestad Basra met zijn levenslange vriend Zaïd en zijn mentor, Abu Alaswad, in een opwindend avontuur om Sind te bevrijden.

The very first animation film from Egypt tells about the young Mohammed Al Kassim who’s frustrated by the number of injustices. He decides to fight through his enemies and eventually gets to the root of all evil in the land of Sind – the tyrant King Daher.
