In deze film reizen drie eenzame personages op zo’n moment, oudejaarsavond, naar een kleine stad op het Uruguayaanse platteland, allen op zoek naar geluk. De trieste mislukkingen en eenzaamheid in hun leven voelen niet zwaar; ze creëren juist het droogkomische karakter van de film.
Some moments in life evoke reflection and new insights, or offer new chances! In this film three lonely characters travel to a small town in the Uruguayan countryside on new year’s eve, every one of them looking for happiness. One would expect the sad failures and loneliness in their lives creating a rather heavy story, yet it turns out to be the basis for a comical deadpan film.
