Life After Siham is een tedere en persoonlijke documentaire over verlies, familie en ballingschap. Na de wereldpremière bij ACID Cannes 2025 won de film de El Gouna Star Award voor Beste Arabische Documentaire op het El Gouna Film Festival.
When Siham died, Namir could not understand that she was gone forever. In a child’s mind, mothers are immortal. To keep her memory alive, he dives into his family history — spread across Egypt and France — using the films of legendary Egyptian director Youssef Chahine as his guide through a story of exile, and above all of love.
