Ter gelegenheid van de openingsfilm Best in the World organiseert AFFR een debat over de wereldwijde invloed van city branding, en de ontwikkeling naar gegentrificeerde smooth cities waarin een monocultuur domineert en veel bewoners worden gedwongen de stad die zijn ooit hun thuis noemden te verlaten. De filmmaker van Best in the World, Hans Christian Post, is hierbij aanwezig. Daarnaast doen mee: schrijver Floor Milikowski, bekend van haar boeken Van wie is de stad en Wij zijn de stad, onderzoeker René Boer, die momenteel werkt aan zijn boek Smooth City, en Siobhan Burger/Faye Ellen van Arttenders, een Rotterdamse organisatie werkzaam op het snijvlak van place making en city branding. Dit alles onder de bezielende leiding van moderator Sophie Stravens.

On the occasion of the opening film Best in the World, AFFR is organizing a debate about the global influence of city branding and the development of gentrified smooth cities, dominated by a monoculture, once home to many people who are being forced out by rising prices. The maker of Best in the World, Hans Christian Post, will be in attendance. Also taking part are writer Floor Milikowski, known for her books Van wie is de stad and Wij zijn de stad, researcher René Boer, who is currently working on a book entitled Smooth City, and Siobhan Burger/Faye Ellen of Arttenders, a Rotterdam organization active at the intersection of place making and city branding. All of this under the inspirational leadership of moderator Sophie Stravens.
