Middenin São Paulo wordt een oud kraakpand bewoond door vluchtelingen uit onder andere Syrië, Irak en Afrika, maar ook door Braziliaanse daklozen. Deze ongebruikelijke combinatie levert een bijzondere situatie op, inclusief dagelijkse spanningen vanwege de onzekerheid uit het pand gezet te worden. Iedereen helpt elkaar en de loyaliteit is zo groot als de misverstanden (door bijvoorbeeld taalverwarring). Dit levert hilarische taferelen op. De onderlinge relaties, individuele problemen en het gezamenlijk streven om het pand te kunnen blijven bewonen worden afgewisseld met contactmomenten met het thuisfront. In the centre of São Paulo, refugees from Syria, Iraq and Africa live in an old squatting house, together with homeless people from Brazil. This unusual combination of people causes a unique situation, including tensions due to the daily insecurity to be evicted from the house. Everybody is helping each other, and the loyalty is as big as the misunderstandings (for example caused by language differences). This causes hilarious situations. The mutual relations, individual problems and their shared goal to be able to stay in the house, are alternated with the contact moments they have with their home front.
