Hirofumi, een wat introverte Japanse expat in Nederland, volgt met andere internationale expats een Nederlandse taalcursus onder leiding van de enthousiaste instructrice Marieke. Ondanks dat Hirofumi nog maar net in Nederland verblijft en de Nederlandse taal zeer slecht beheerst, is hij extreem gemotiveerd tijdens de lessen vanwege zijn immense crush op zijn lerares. Maar wanneer Hirofumi ontdekt dat Marieke binnenkort haar laatste les geeft en dan zelf op wereldreis gaat, voelt Hirofumi zich gedwongen om een laatste, allesbeslissende poging te doen om Marieke zijn liefde te verklaren.

In this short documentary we see the filmmaker, Apollonia, questioning her own image of men. By making boys talk about how they express their emotions, she tries to figure out if her view on men is accurate. She has never seen a man cry before. Eventually she approaches her father with the question: why do I want men to reveal their vulnerability so badly? Could it have been caused by his timid personality? By tightly framing her characters Apollonia tries to confront them. In that way she attempts to give an intimate and sincere portrayal of what occurs in the sensitive mind of a boy.
