Het appartement van haar grootmoeder in het Unite d’Habitations van Le Corbusier in Marseille brandde volledig uit, maar vanwege de monumentale status van het gebouw moet het identiek worden herbouwd. When her grandmother’s apartment in Le Corbusier’s United’Habitation in Marseilles was completely gutted by fire, the building’s status as a listed historic building meant that it had to be rebuilt in identical fashion. Granddaughter and filmmaker Marjolaine Normier filmed the construction of the replica and the life of her grandmother, who had been living in the building for 60 years. The film humorously tells the tale of the glorious history of Marseilles’ mythic Cité Radieuse and its inhabitants.
