Short Focus: Competition Films
Tijdens dit blok zie je vijf korte films die strijden om de juryprijs beste korte film AFF 2019. De winnaar zal later op de dag bekend worden gemaakt bij de slotfilm van Arab Film Festival 2019.

Faiçal Ben, Marokko
De film vertelt het verhaal van Ales, een vrouw van in de veertig die terugkijkt op haar verkrachting, een trauma dat ze sinds haar vijfde heeft meegedragen. Terug naar de plek van haar jeugd, leidt Ales Adult de toeschouwer van de ervaring van de tragedie naar haar eigen bevrijding door ellipsen en Marokkaanse culturele representaties.

Back to the place of her childhood, Ales adult leads the spectator from the experience of the tragedy to her own deliverance through ellipses and Moroccan cultural representations.
