Aïcha, gezegend met profetische dromen, leeft met haar man Brahim en hun drie zoons op een boerderij in het noorden van Tunesië. Wanneer hun twee oudste jongens naar de oorlog gaan, komt de familie in een nieuwe realiteit terecht. Aïcha, blessed with prophetic dreams, lives on a farm in northern Tunisia with her husband Brahim and their three sons. Their world is turned upside down when their two eldest boys, Mehdi and Amine, head off to war, thrusting them into a new and painful reality. Upon Mehdi’s return months later with a pregnant woman named Reem, clad in a niqab and silent, Brahim is deeply unsettled. Despite this, Aïcha welcomes Mehdi and Reem into their home, pledging to protect them at all costs. However, Mehdi’s return triggers strange events in the village, and Aïcha, consumed with shielding her son, initially fails to notice the growing fear in the community. She must confront the limits of her maternal love to combat the encroaching darkness.
